WHAT DOES "AVERAGE INDIVIDUAL PREMIUM" MEAN?
Blue Cross and United have committed to offering HEALTHpact plans at an average individual rate. Some employer groups will see rates that are lower than the average, some higher.

Rates vary for HEALTHpact as they do for all small employer products - highest rates can be no more than four times the lowest, with variation based on the following four employer group characteristics:

  1. age
  2. gender
  3. family size (individual, w/spouse, w/dependents, w/spouse & dependents)
  4. health status (+/- 10%)
